DAP stands for Data Acquisition Point. It is a sub-system in CompuLert which handles the connectivity from the CompuLert server to the entities. One DAP process typically handles 10 to 32 entities depending on how "talkative" the entities are. If an entity sends more than 5 messages per minute then we can consider that entity "talkative".
